Clean WordPress Themes For Autoblogging

I use WordPress as the basis for all my autoblogging sites. My Advanced Autoblogging Blueprint shows you exactly how I setup and configure WordPress on my sites. One of the keys to maximising adsense earnings on these types of sites is to minimise the number of other links and distractions on the page. You want your adsense links to stand out as much as possible.

Unfortunately most of the WordPress themes (both free and paid) that are available are not ideal, because WordPress is first and foremost a blogging platform. Therefore the posts and pages will contain lots of other information and links that are added by default using a standard WordPress theme.

For example, you will see information, a date and links at the top or bottom of posts like:

“Posted by admin in WordPress on Saturday, September 25, 2010 · 10 Comments

Also you will have the comments section at the bottom of the post, which will include the comments form and any comments that visitors have made on the post.

All this stuff is unnecessary for an auto blog and just becomes a distraction that can lure a visitor’s attention away from the adsense or affiliate links that you really want them to click on.

The Advanced Autoblogging Blueprint includes 6 customised “clean themes” designed for maximum adsense clicks. These themes have all the extraneous links and information that usually come with a WordPress theme removed. Also all references to comments are completely removed. Believe me, once you start building up a big portfolio of niche autoblogging sites the last thing you want to be dealing with is moderating comments!

Getting rid of all the extraneous guff from a WordPress theme can be a bit tricky, as it involves editing one or more the theme’s files. If you don’t know what you are doing it can be easy to “break” the theme so it no longer works or displays properly. If you have a favorite theme that you would like to have “cleaned up” for use on an autoblogging site, but don’t know what to do, feel free to contact me and I will be able to edit the theme for you.
